So I have to admit I’m pretty pissed off right now… I wanted to get prima dolly Ginger’s other pink eye chip (which I was certain was in her head). So I began to take her apart…

She has 2 screws in the back of her head and her spring is attached to a peg on the back of her face plate by both ends. Not allowing the spring to be released.

I took out her screw’s and began prying her apart… Her head just wouldn’t open up I managed to wiggle her neck out and the pink eyechip. And I took her hair off… Now I can see that her faceplate is glued to her dome. And my prying has caused quite a few cracks and 2 discolored areas from where the glue is most bonded.

I have been trying to separate the two pieces but they are really bonded in those 2 spots.  :'(

If anyone has any recommendations, please let me know.

**Update: I left Ginger’s head to sit in warm water approximately 3 hours, after I was finally able to remove her back faceplate!IMG_20150911_112840IMG_20150911_113048IMG_20150911_113037IMG_20150911_113027IMG_20150911_112949IMG_20150911_112915

She’s an SBL face mold, which is notoriously difficult to work with. It can be done, but before you do any more to her, do reasearch on SBL.

Yeah, I watched ’em both. Ginger is currently soaking in my bathtub, bodiless and hairless…
